Knapheide, a nationally recognized leader in commercial vehicle bodies and truck equipment, continues to expand its footprint across the country—and Civil Contracting, LLC is honored to support their growth here in Clayton, North Carolina. Their new facility on Highway 70 represents a major investment in both the region’s workforce and its industrial capabilities, solidifying Knapheide’s long-term presence in the area.
For this project, Civil Contracting, LLC is delivering a full range of commercial site development services tailored to the needs of a large-scale operational facility. Our work includes establishing precise building pads, contouring the site for proper drainage, and implementing a comprehensive erosion and sediment control plan to maintain environmental compliance throughout construction.
We are also installing critical underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm infrastructure, to support the facility’s daily operations. In addition, our team is constructing a high-capacity asphalt parking lot and truck access areas, ensuring durable and efficient traffic flow for employees, visitors, and commercial vehicles.

While Avery Chase is marketed with up to 66 homesites overall, our portion serves phase two, a subdivision of 31 lots across two streets — integrating seamlessly into the community vision.

Sri Venkateswara Religious Hall
As the epicenter of Cary's Hindu religious activity, the Sri Venkateswara Temple of Cary is home to the tallest Rajagaporum structure in North America. As our largest project to date, we are proud to be performing a complete overhaul of the existing site with turnkey site grading, new utilities, concrete, and paving.
Grabtown Road Subdivision
Welcome to the Grabtown Road Subdivision project, an exciting new development featuring 78 lots spread across 7 streets. The scope includes clearing, grubbing, erosion control, mass grading, water services, and asphalt roadways in preparation for the homes soon to be built for its future residents. American Plumbing
American Plumbing is a recent project that began as a cleared site in need of some refreshing. The project evolved into exporting 30,000 cubic yards of dirt, expanding the existing employee parking, and adding erosion control measures.
Savanna Oaks Subdivision
The Savanna Oaks Subdivision project, located in Johnston County, boasting 38 lots for future homeowners. This project is particularly significant as it was the first project undertaken by Civil Contracting, showing our commitment to quality work right in our back yard.
